At Alexandra Infant School we have a firm commitment to art; ensuring a full and rounded education for all our children. We value the arts and believe that art helps to develop children’s self-esteem and confidence. We encourage pupils to be creative and imaginative and to explore the tactile, visual and sensory qualities of the arts, through the teaching of specific skills and techniques, and also through cross-curricular work. Art is taught both inside and outside the classroom and is fully inclusive of children of differing abilities.
